The city of Písek possesses a number of buildings. Many of them have been implementing cost-cutting measures using the EPC (Energy Performance Contracting) technique, which is focused on the modernisation of energy systems through continuous energy management, since 2013.

Guaranteed energy services

What does EPC stand for?

Energy Performance Contracting (EPC) is a comprehensive service that involves the design of cost-cutting methods, as well as the planning, implementation, and financing of energy-saving projects in buildings. The system is based on the installment concept, which means that the consumer does not require any personal funds to apply it. From the resulting and contractually guaranteed savings, the client gradually repays the provider for the installation. As a result, the client of an EPC project will never pay more than he does for energy at the time of contract signing and thus the start of the project. The provider carries all project risks, and if the savings are not obtained according to the established model, the provider is also responsible for the financial consequences of the failure. The EPC process yields a return of 6 to 10 years on investment in a project. It has the potential to save up to 40% on energy bills.
