The Monitoring Committee of the URBACT IV program approved on 31 May 2023 30 City Action Planning Networks involving 252 individual partners from 28 European countries! And Písek is one of them.
The event took place in Malmö, Sweden, where more than 460 participants in three days focused on the entire process of creating integrated action plans, which were the main output for cities involved in projects within the ongoing Action Planning Networks. The URBACT program enables cities to exchange experiences and share good practice in international networks of cities. The project manager Jan Roučka and the head of the organizational component Miloš Prokýšek set out for the Smart Písek team. All representatives of the Czech cities involved in the URBACT program also met for the first time at the University.
Urbact University 2023 also focused on the process of finding suitable stakeholders for individual projects of cities involved in Action Planning Networks. In addition, during the 12 planned so-called "Study Visits", the participants had the opportunity to get to know different corners of Malmö.
The whole URBACT event was an adventure with different activities and opportunities to learn, share experiences and push for change for better cities.
