The City of Písek, in collaboration with Do It! (Podnikni to!), hosted the first entrepreneurship course for people of the city and neighboring towns in mid-September 2021.
The course was led by a seasoned businessman from Písek with decades of expertise. The participants learnt how to launch a business with minimal risk and unneeded investment under his guidance while working on their own initiative. Furthermore, because of the course lecturer's years of experience, they will be able to avoid the most common mistakes at the outset and will have ample time to discuss the path of their own project.
The course follows a simple rule: the least amount of theory and the most amount of practice. Up to 80% of the more than 6,000 Do It! graduates continue to work on their own project. A total of five meetings were held once a week, on Thursdays. The first workshop will take place in the Municipal Library on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at 5:30 p.m. Participation was free thanks to the sponsorship of the town of Písek. A total of 26 persons were chosen for the course out of 47 applicants, with 21 completing it successfully. On March 24, 2022, the second round of this course will begin. The Group of Entrepreneurs was formed as part of the follow-up support and was joined by six course participants.
