Development of Smart City Písek
The Smart Písek organizational unit was established by Písek City Council decision No. 293/16 of 1st December 2016 with effect from 1st January 2017, with the main goal of completing the Blue-Yellow Book (approved by ZM decision No. 171/15) and developing individual sectoral concepts - ICT and infrastructure, Energy and environment, Mobility.

Passengers in Písek will benefit from improved public transportation. The project's goal is to raise their awareness and understanding of public transportation. The problem will be solved by organizing transportation and providing information elements both inside and outside vehicles.

The city of Písek intends to gradually rebuild the parking lots and connect them to an electronic parking system that will not only notify cars of available parking spots, but will also direct them to specific parking lots. It is therefore planned to purchase an electronic system that estimates the chance of empty space on a particular street.
